Portfolio For Christian - The Stained Stainlessman
The score from my most recently published composing work. The brief was tension and a sense of time ticking so I used the percussive side of strings to create this.
My favourite cue is Tick Tock (0:53) and I also like the more emotional piano at the end reflecting the main charcters feelings (2:46).
FYI here is the actual short however I wasn’t a huge fan of the directors decison to duck the music so dramatically against dialogue.
Score begins 0:13
HI Christian, I note The Stained Stainlessman is a dark comedy and the last work I did was in fact comedy / whodunnit.
The breif was ‘absurdist’ and I created music that was silly, goofy and lighthearted but with a certain elegance.
I particularly like the cue to 2:44 when the wrestlers enter and also at 5:22.
Lastly, I have this short on YouTube with chapters to easily find all the music.
I think this a pretty cool piece I composed for a competiton.
Looping guitars and lots of FX balanced with a choir which adds a human, organic side and a percussive element from col lengo, pizz and marcato strings.
I am currently working with an indie game dev and it’s a really fun project. This is the main theme for the landing page of the game. Felt that some ‘duck inspired’ synth patches were called for.
Another recent indie short for which I drew upon my love for filthy, distorted guitars and big riffs to add a bit of shock and awe to this trailer.
